Opening Creative Space for Youths “At Siam” for the Budget Year 2017

Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University conducted the Opening Creative Space for Youths "At Siam” Project aimed to promote, develop and encourage the youths to express their abilities creatively and beneficially as well as to ensure that social and cultural immunity was strengthened under the notion of "The youths think, the youths do and the youth present”. Culture Surveillance Bureau was assigned to lead the project by open creative space to the youth "At Siam” whereby Chulalongkorn University provided the space for organizing activities. Ministry of Culture would organize the activities on the weekends in the 1st and the 3rd week of each month. the project has been continuously conducted and well-received by the youths, parents and educational institutions. To ensure continuity of the activities of providing white space to the youths and to encourage families to spend their free time beneficially, Ministry of Culture managed to organize more activities in the 2nd and the 4th week of January to September 2017. These activities included 1) Informal Learning Sources, 2) Contemporary Thai Art and Cultural Performances, 3) Siamese Art Showcasing Market, 4) Busking Artists, and 5) Youth Volunteers for Social Development organized by Siam Square One Shopping Center, Bangkok Metropolis.
