Boworn on Tour at Kadeejeen Community activity



The Ministry of Culture has organized a Boworn on Tour at Kadeejeen Community activity, in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday anniversary on July 28, 2020. It has also opened six check-in locations at tourist spots with diversities of cultures, beliefs, and religion to stimulate the economy and tourist travel after the COVID-19 crisis. There are 20,000 targeted communities nationwide.


Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem, Minister of Culture, opened the Boworn on Tour at Kadeejeen Community event at Prayurawongsawas Worawiharn temple. He released a parade of cyclists on a trip to check-in at locations in six communities.


The Minister of Culture said after opening the Boworn on Tour activity at the Kadeejeen Community, the Ministry of Culture will organize the same activity at 20,000 communities nationwide, by drawing the uniqueness of the community into the spotlight to stimulate domestic tourism and help the economy recover after the COVID-19 outbreak. The activity has also been organized in honor of His Majesty the King on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday anniversary on July 28, 2020.


The Kadeejeen community is an old community along the Chao Phraya River on the Thonburi side. It has a history of more than 200 years. It is a community of three religions and four beliefs where Buddhists, Chinese, Christians and Muslims reside. Currently, there are important tourist attractions such as Khao Mo Park, Santa Cruz Church, shrines, Bang Luang Mosque, a Gingerbread House and various retro sweets’ shops. The cyclists follow a historic route where food and cultural products of the Kadeejeen community are sold. The activity will continue until July 19 from 4-8 p.m.
